On Friday, the 19th of September, we celebrated our great behavior with a dog party! Over the past 3 weeks, we have been hard at work earning compliments on our hallway and classroom behavior. On Thursday afternoon, we earned the final compliment in the "Help Belle Get to School" challenge! I'm so proud of the progress the children have made!
We all went outside with some of our dog friends from our classroom library, where we enjoyed ice pops and an extra recess. We also finally met Belle and her sister, Millie! They are our two class friends who will take turns going home with different children each weekend. They travel with an overnight bag, complete with a sleeping bag, a pillow, a change of clothes, and a journal to write about their adventures at our homes.
Elizabeth was the lucky girl who took Belle home on Friday for the weekend. She earned this privilege by having all dots on her behavior card for the week. Belle and Elizabeth had a great weekend together!
We are doing such a super job walking in the hallways, staying close to the right side of the hall, walking with our hands at our sides and our lips zipped! Stay tuned for the next challenge!
