Please send $1.50 to help cover the cost of the party supplies and goodies. We’re looking forward to a good time! If your child would like to bring gifts for the class, they may. However, it is in no way necessary for you to do so. If your child has a gift for just ONE or two classmates, please arrange to exchange gifts outside of school. Thank you for your understanding!

WHITE CHRISTMAS Food Drive and Money Collection: Our Student Council is once again sponsoring this worthy cause! So far, our class has collected 48 Food Items and $72.76! Thank you for helping your child think of others during this time of year.

PTO NEWS: The cookbooks are in! If you would like to purchase one, please send $10 with a note to school.

"Christmas Special:" Purchase 2 Discount Cards for $10.00. These make great stocking stuffers, so get them now. Price is only good when you purchase 2 cards. These cards have discounts to many area businesses and are good for the whole year.

Chick-Fil-A 2010 Calendars with over $30.00 in free food. Get your Calendar for $6.00 and the School gets to keep $1.00 for each calendar sold.

TAKE HOME READERS/100 BOOK CHALLENGE: The children are growing as independent readers! Thanks so much for you assistance with this program. Books will go home tonight, and we will resume after break.

Language Arts: We are writing letters, writing questions, and using our dictionaries. We are reading about different winter holidays celebrated around the world.

Math: We’re adding faster and faster every day! We’ll refocus on Rocket Math after the holidays. We’re working on patterns, telling time, counting money, reading and creating graphs, and reading and creating story problems.

SOCIAL STUDIES: We are continuing to discuss ways that families around the world celebrate holidays.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family!

See you in 2010!
