IMPORTANT DATES:

•5/3 - Cardinal 5k
•5/16~ Field Day t-shirt and yearbook orders due
Thank you! Thank you to those of you who were able to serve as chaperones for our field trip to the Greenville Zoo! Everyone was willing to help out throughout the day, making it much easier for me! It was one of the best field trips, ever! The children were all very well behaved and enjoyed seeing the animals that we have been studying.
PTO News: Don’t forget to register for our Cardinal 5K or the 1 mile fun run! Every participant will receive a FREE 6 inch sub from Subway. Come out and walk then have a free healthy lunch!
Dress Code Reminders:
•Sleeveless shirts should have straps that are 3 fingers wide. Spaghetti straps are prohibited.
•Shorts should be longer than your fingertips when your arms are extended down. THIS INCLUDES ATHLETIC SHORTS.
•No flip flops are to be worn due to the safety of children while running outside. All shoes must have a strap on the back of the heel. NO HIGH HEELS are to be worn. We have seen several students twist ankles while wearing shoes with a raised heel and slick bottom.
•Leggings are not permitted unless they are covered by a skirt or shorts that are appropriate in length.
•Refrain from wearing extremely tight fitting clothing.
Consequences for Dress Code Violations:
First Offense: The teacher will verbally remind the child of the dress code as well as the parent.
Second Offense: The teacher will send the child to the front office to call home for a spare change of clothes/shoes that are more appropriate.
Thanks!
